Previous versions of Forefront Security for Exchange didn’t have any antispam features – we used the built-in Exchange antispam capabilities to help protect us again spam. While the Exchange features were “good enough”, there was a lot of room for improvement.

Some things to know about Forefront Security for Exchange 2010 Beta 2 antispam features:

• New content filter based on Cloudmark technology
• Uses SCL ratings similar to that provided by Exchange
• Changes in SCL range distribution – most messages will be either 1 or 9
• Detection rate of 99%
• Less time foraging through the Junk Mail folder looking for false positives!
