I would suggest you buy one of the Pix study guides. Those generally include one of the Boson test simulators. That way you get to practice your Pix syntax.</description>

					<description>I use 2 GB RAM to run VMware with 4 images of my choice. 

1. Blacktrack for pen testing.
2. SNORT for Network intrusion detection.
3. OSSEC for Host intusion detection.

Can any body tell me how to exactly emulate PIX.</description>

					<description>I have two Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition servers running on VMWare. I have one &quot;phsycial&quot; server running Windows 2003 Standard. Its a fully functional DNS/DHCP/AD and soon to be Exchange 2007 Server. 

The hardware isn't anything special, just an old Dell box.

Its nice to have something around the house that you can trash :).</description>

And use Dynamips for cisco routers and switchs. 

for emulate  Juniper routers i use olive.

and use pemu to emulate real Cisco ids and pix appliance.</description>
