Norton 360
Well I recently decided to get a copy of Norton 360 for my home network. One of the nice parts of this product is that it comes with a 3 user license. This was one of the main selling points in my eyes. It is a pain in the butt having to deal with licensing or buying individual copies. Having three licenses off the bat and for a very reasonable price was an excellent selling point. Now Norton has in the past taken a lot of lumps for having products such as the home user version of the firewall and anti-virus solution being resource hogs. Well this is no longer the case as things have definitely improved on that front. It is no longer a resource pig and is definitely snappier. In terms of a home user computer security solution, Symantec has done a good job with Norton 360. Simple enough for my mother and wife to use anyways
. I would definitely recommend it for the home user.

I just purchased Norton 360, and with the exception of the backup application, it looks like a well designed product. Unfortunately the backup program is crude, dysfunctional, and unnecessarily difficult to use. It doesn’t have the standard easy to use interface we’ve all learned to expect wherein you can check or uncheck folders you want to backup or exclude from the backup. That’s hard to believe.
In addition, despite my selecting MANUAL backups, the application insists upon Automatically backing up files. I don’t understand why.

Hi Robert,
I would be inclined to agree with you on your criticism of the backup part of 360. Hopefully this will be smoothed out in future versions of this product. Either way, Symantec has greatly improved this product over the past couple of years.
