Client side exploits

Client side exploits are nothing new, however, trying to fully understand them is another matter. How are they done, what language are they written in….. In an effort to better understand how vulnerable a web browser can be to such exploits it only makes sense then to study a client side scripting language ie: javascript for one. It would also then make sense to have a good grasp of HTML. By studying these two languages you will be able to better understand the source code on a web page when you view it by clicking on "View" then "Page Source" in Firefox, or the equivalent in Microsoft’s Internet Explorer. Much like packet analysis, you want to understand the code that is on a webpage to know in advance what it is that it will do when parsed by a web browser.
