NetBIOS is one of those protocols that not many people pay a lot of attention to.  That is too bad really as it provides a wealth of information to a potential attacker. Contained within the various NetBIOS datagram messages is a treasure trove of information. All you have to do is take a look at it to find out who is what as it were on the internal LAN.
