Network Access Controls (NAC)

It is funny how things or conecpts are regurgitated and relabelled. They are they seen as somehow revolutionary or prescient. To whit, the big to do about network access controls or NAC as it is sometimes called. Nothing new here really. After all I think we have all been trying to restrict access to our network and what is held there. Bleh. This is the same old tired technique of relabelling something ie: application layer firewall, deep packet inspection and so on. Makes one yearn for simple, and concise language minus the hyperbole.
