It was a very pleasant surprise for me to learn that Mr. Sams resigned as the CIO of Ohio University after another security incident. Kudos to Mr. Sams for taking responsibility for the problems at hand vice fingering “circumstances” beyond his control. With such a high position in an organization comes an equally large amount of responsiblity. Whether or not Mr. Sams was made to walk the plank gracefully or not remains to be seen, either way I was happy to see some ethics from upper management.
