Spam revisited

Well spam is really a fact of life as it impacts the Internet. Who the heck is to blame though? Well some major free email addresses are to start with. Once I read a spam email sent to me by a gibberish email address with a well known email domain appended to it I have to scratch my head. Why the heck don’t these companies police themselves better!? It is not much different then ISP’s being idiotic in their policies, and lackadaisical policy towards their routers. What do you guys think? Do you have any insights as to how to solve this issue?
